Who Am I?

I am Toby, and I am 10 years old. When I was five, I decided that I wanted to write a letter to somebody in every country in the world. I have now written more than a thousand letters, and I am still writing. I research each letter to find out more about the country, and to ask questions that are about that country and about the people that live there. Because of my project, I got asked to write a book by Penguin, a publisher, and the book has come out in different countries and translations. If you are interested, you can read more about the project at www.writingtotheworld.com . Because of my letter-writing project, I have always liked reading books about other countries, but I like reading all books, really. When my book came out, the people at www.lovereading4kids.co.uk/ interviewed me, and for a while, I got to review books before they come out, and my reviews got published on their website. It is always super-exciting to be sent a book before you can actually buy it, and I love when the authors tell me they liked my review! Unfortunately, LoveReading4Kids won't be around for much longer, so I decided on a new challenge, to read a book related to every country in the world. It can be a book by an author from that country, or set in that country, or even a non-fiction book about the country. It's okay if the book is fantasy or made up, because that shows how people from different countries make up stories.
I started this blog because I thought of the name "Fantastic Books And Where To Find Them", and I thought it would be a great name for a book reviewing website. I have challenged my Mum to join me on my reading around the world adventure, so she is going to read a grown-up book, and I am going to read a children's book. If you want to write to me and suggest books, you can write to me at hello@writingtotheworld.com.
